Feature Spotlight Hydrotherapy Jets
One of the many great benefits of having an Arctic Spas® hot tub is the amazing massage experience you get from the hydrotherapy jets. And with our new Low Profile Stainless Steel Ripple Jets, it can’t get much better!
Hydrotherapy Massage
Hydrotherapy is a scientifically proven way to alleviate tension and pain throughout the body. Powerful jets in your hot tub increase circulation by increasing blood flow throughout your body. This helps with pain relief in the joints and muscles. People with knee, lower back, shoulders, hips and neck pain could benefit from the powerful massage from hydrotherapy jets.
Therapy jets can also help relieve some people’s chronic pain, such as arthritis, fibromyalgia and headaches. People struggling with insomnia can also benefit from sitting in a hot tub before they go to sleep.
Hydrotherapy is also extremely helpful with post-exercise recovery. Working out causes a build up of lactic acid in the muscles, which can cause pain and often requires a recovery period before another workout can be done. Hydrotherapy helps flush that lactic acid out of the muscles post-workout, alleviating pain and increasing recovery speed significantly.
Jet Design
Not all jets are created equal when it comes to hydrotherapy and comfort. Directional jets are jets that only push water out in one direction. These jets tend to be uncomfortable and do not promote circulation as well as non-directional jets. Instead, look for jets that move in circular motions, which are much more comfortable and are better for pain relief.
Arctic Spas® new massaging jet design also has three breaks in it. This is crucial for any jet design because it momentarily stops the water flow from hitting your skin. Without this, the jet would cause your skin to get itchy and would become uncomfortable very quickly.
Jet Count
The number of jets you have in your hot tub will affect the quality of your massage. Arctic Spas® sells hot tubs starting with 20 jets, but up to 60 jets can be added to our tubs for a fantastic hot tub experience.
Keep in mind that jet size can matter just as much as jet count. Arctic Spas® only puts 3” and 5” jets in their hot tubs. 100 hot tub jets that are small and directional are not nearly as good as 40 spinning jets that are 3” or 5”.
Hydrotherapy is just one of the many reasons that more and more people are choosing to buy a hot tub for their backyard. Hot tubs have a plethora of health benefits to take advantage of! To learn even more about all of the amazing benefits of owning an Arctic Spas®, stop by your local showroom.
